Key Responsibilities
- Development and execution of strategic procurement activities for the responsible category in alignment with senior management and relevant business partners
- Support of the implementation of Global and European strategies as well as developing own local strategies and value creation opportunities
- Deliver committed annual Procurement savings targets and other objectives such as increasing payment terms
- Benchmark category best practices to identify initiatives for improvement
- Build category specific strategic plan in alignment with relevant stakeholders
- Implement best practices for supplier selection and fact-based negotiations
- Manage contract implementation and contract compliance. Define P2P and buying channel strategies, identify and consider automation potential and P2P/ channel effectiveness
Knowledge and Skills
Das solltest du als Procurement Manager (m/w/d) mitbringen:
- A degree from an accredited college or university (Bsc./Msc.) with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a procurement role, minimum 1-2 years experience in a managerial procurement position with proven track record of strategic sourcing
- Strong communication and stakeholder management experience at a senior level
- Demonstrable understanding of procurement best practice methodologies, including TCO, SRM and contract management/life cycle management
- Knowledge of category management practices and methodologies, end to end experience in a numberof indirect procurement categories
- Fluent English is essential, additional language skills are advantageous
